LindyJean's 2nd birthday

LindyJean Cornelia Stagg. Two years have passed and I feel like I may have missed something. I was pondering the other day and I do believe that becoming pregnant when she was a mere 6 months old, really accelerated her infancy.

Thank heavens she was such a lovely little baby; sweet, sleepy, & plump.

Happy Birthday! We celebrated with food and cake, as we always do.

Hahahahahahaha!  This photos cracks me up.

Here the girls are picking mache for our salad.

Partygoers include; Gammy & Papa, Nana & Crawdad, Uncle Russ, and Aunty Staci.

What's in the box?

My very own sleeping bag! Bitty has one and now LindyJean does too.  They slept in them that night. I really love this photo of her.

Yay for me!

Props for Aunty Staci, isn't this a nifty picture of Bitty?

Miss LindyJean is super sensitive and sweet, but still possesses the temper and obstinance that seems to plague our gene pool. She LOVES Bitty and is her little magpie.  Her command of the language is quite good and her observations are a regular source of comedy to me.  Her tenderness toward her father is remarkable.  She'll eat just about anything, as long as it's not crust or the skin of some vegetable/fruit (which I thought was some indulgence parents created by constantly removing crusts/skins). She has curly hair! She adores her Nana & Gammy, but seems to have a special place in her giant heart for Crawdad & Papa.  LindyJean is willing to try just about anything, she may have initial reservations but she'll muster the courage and give it a go. Gunnar is her pal and they are developing a partnership of mischief that keeps me on my toes.  They are always into or up to something. She is a source of great joy.

June

It is late.  Today (10/5/12) I pulled every edible morsel out of my garden, last night it was frosted damaged, tonight it will be frozen and subsequently garbage.  I don't know about you... but I can't afford to waste a thing from that garden, food prices are through the roof. Now I have to hurriedly do something to preserve that bounty because we are taking our first family vacation on Monday to the Oregon Coast.  A place of spectacular beauty and many a delightful distraction.  Pray that I take lots of photos and that I don't over-consume steamer clams and wine to the point of illness. :)

Below is a menagerie of shots from June.  I may rouse a few more.  For instance, LindyJean's birthday is in June, I threw her a shindig. I have no photos... I thought we snapped at least a couple?!?!? Hard tellin', not knowin'!
