July

4th of July... found me in excruciating pain that left me on my back for a whole week.  I refused to cancel my Fourth of July party, like a stubborn mule, and so Eric set up his camping cot and I spent the evening lying on it.  The photos number three and are of dubious quality.
Blurry Gunnar.

Menfolk, enjoying a cold beverage and lively conversation.

The annual homemade 'mallows! Which I cannot claim credit for this year.  My lovely pal, Jody, made them as I called her sobbing about how can I throw a party and buy (heaven forbid) marshmallows.  She graciously volunteered to make them and went above and beyond, cutting them into star shapes.  She then really went over the top and made homemade caramel and put together homemade scotchmallows!  What a girl, she's a real blessing.

Nana came for a visit...

The highlight of which was riding in the basket of her bicycle.  They did this forever.

Zoom.

LindyJean playing cowgirl.  She loves this shirt.  I have to hide so she doesn't ask to wear it daily.

Raspberry sorbet = pink, pink tongue

We got to attend a garden fairy birthday party!  So fun.  We painted birdhouses, wore fairy wings and wreaths, brandished wands, and ate fairy treats.

The artists.

Raspberry toadstools, a seriously cute fairy treat.

Our first head wound.  It bled like crazy.  He fell and he was bleeding and I had nothing to stop the bleeding and Eric was hollering "we need a compress" and I ripped my shirt off in the middle of our street and compressed the wound (in my bra).  Thank goodness it was the middle of the week in the middle of the day and most of our were neighbors working!

Apricot goodness.

Blueberry Vanilla Cake... I did a lot of upick berries this month.

Have you seen anything so beautiful? These are potatoes.  Takes the potato to a whole new level.

I was called to make dessert.  Aunty Staci suggested homemade nutterbutters.  These were ridiculous to make and worth every second.  SO STINKING DELICIOUS. Make them, now!
